Another variety on the market, known as "Silver Matte" or "Asset Label," is a very special type of polyester (PET)-based label with a matte metallic gray surface. Unlike paper labels, because it is plastic-based, it is tear-resistant and exhibits extraordinary resistance to water, moisture, oil, alcohol, and high temperatures.

Especially technical specification labels on the back of white goods or asset barcodes in offices are produced from this material. It is the longest-lasting label solution.
