1. VOID Label: The "Leaving a Trace" Detective
VOID labels are the most popular player in packaging security. As we detailed in our previous articles, the main point of these labels is to leave a trace on the surface.
When you stick it on a box, carton, or a product with a glossy surface, if someone tries to remove the label, the label destroys itself but does not completely fall apart. Instead, the special layer underneath adheres to the surface and reveals the "VOID / INVALID" text. Especially for cardboard box packaging and smooth surfaces, using a VOID security label allows you to see at a glance if the box has been opened.
2. Destructible (Security) Label: The "Shell-Like" Fragmenting Protector
Destructible labels (also known as "Eggshell" or "Destructible" in the industry) are as delicate as an eggshell, as their name suggests. The point of these labels is not to leave a trace, but to fragment.
Shortly after application, it forms such a strong bond with the surface that it is impossible to remove it in one piece when you try. It breaks into millimeter-sized pieces, just like a dried paint layer or an eggshell. It is generally preferred for screw holes in electronic devices, computer parts (RAM, HDD, etc.), and in technical service processes requiring warranty tracking.

- If you provide technical service or want to prevent the opening of a device (if you are applying it over a screw), you should prefer a Destructible Label.
