In today's market, simply selling a product is not enough; it's essential to track, verify, or establish a digital connection with the customer. The most effective way to do this is with Variable QR Code Labels.
But how do you print a different QR code, a different password, or a different serial number on each of thousands of products? Designing them individually is impossible. This is where the "Data Merging and Printing" service we offer as Otiket comes in.

How Does the System Work? (Hybrid Printing Logic)
This process is a combination of "Fixed Design" and "Variable Data." We can summarize the workflow step-by-step as follows:
- Design and Material Selection: You send us the colored design with your brand logo and fixed text. Depending on your needs, Coated paper or Opaque PP material is selected.
- Data Sharing (Excel/CSV): You provide us with an Excel spreadsheet containing the QR links, passwords, or serial numbers you want to change on each label.
- Printing Process: We first print the colored (fixed) part of the label. Then, using Resin or Wax-Resin Ribbons in our industrial barcode printers, we process your provided data in black onto the label.
Result: A colored label reflecting your brand identity, with unique, 100% scannable black QR codes on each.
Why Choose This Method?
Printing every label from scratch in color on a digital printing machine can be costly. However, with this hybrid method:
- Costs Decrease: Base printing is done in bulk, and only variable data is added afterward.
- Readability Increases: Since QR codes and barcodes are printed using thermal transfer (Ribbon) technology, they are read much clearer and faster by phone cameras and barcode readers.
- Speed: Processing thousands of different data points onto labels takes minutes.
Use Cases: What Can You Do?
With variable data labels, you can create limitless scenarios for your brand:
1. Product Verification and Security
When a customer scans the QR code, they are directed to an "This product is original" page. Since the code on each label is unique, it cannot be copied.
2. Giveaways and Campaigns
You can affix a "Password-Protected QR Label" to the product packaging. The customer scans the code and participates in the giveaway with the resulting password. (e.g., Chip bags or beverage caps).
3. Fixed Asset and Inventory Tracking
You can conduct inventory counts by attaching a sequentially numbered fixed asset label (001, 002, 003...) to each computer or desk in your company.
4. Smart Menus and Navigation
In restaurant chains, you can track which table an order came from by printing unique QR codes for each table.

What Should You Send Us for an Order?
The process is very simple. You just need to provide us with the following:
- Your label's vector design (PDF/AI).
- The dimensions of the empty space where the QR code will be placed.
- An Excel list containing the data to be printed.
Our technical team will handle the rest. We securely process your data, print it on the labels, and deliver them to you in rolls.
