Serial-Numbered Roll Labels That Speed Up Warehouse Stocktakes

Logistics has a rule: "You can't manage what you can't measure." If thousands of boxes, pallets and shelves in your warehouse don't each have a unique ID, losses and shipping errors are inevitable.

But do you have to stand at a printer to number every box in order (A-001, A-002, A-003...)?

No. With our sequentially numbered roll labels, you get barcoded labels in order, ready to take out of the box and apply. Here's what they do for your warehouse.

What Are Sequentially Numbered Labels?

Starting from a number (or prefix) you choose, each label goes up by one. They're usually supplied on rolls. Staff peel and apply by hand or with an applicator, and the next label is always the next number. There's no room for mistakes.

Printing In-House vs Ready-Printed

If you print these yourself on a label printer:

  • Consumables run out, labels jam and work stops.
  • A database slip can print the same number twice.
  • Staff spend their time printing labels.

Order ready-printed serial number labels instead and you receive error-free, quality-checked rolls. All that's left is "stick and scan".

How It Works

These labels are designed for both people and handheld scanners.

  1. Human readable: "BOX-1054" in large type for staff to read at a glance.
  2. Machine readable: the same number as a Code 128 barcode or QR code underneath, scanned in a fraction of a second.

Uses and Example Numbering

Use Example numbering Benefit
Pallet tracking PLT-001 ... PLT-500 Find which pallet is on which truck instantly.
Shelf addressing A1-R01-L01 (aisle-rack-level) Faster putaway and picking.
Archive boxes 2026-001 ... 2026-999 Find the document you need years later.

Print Quality and Durability

Warehouses can be dusty, damp or hot, and an ordinary paper printout soon fades. In our production:

  • Coated labels for boxes and shelves (long-lasting),
  • Opaque PP labels for outdoor pallets (water resistant),
  • durable printing that doesn't rub off, so barcodes always scan.
